The female reproductive system consists of several organs that work together to support menstruation, fertility, pregnancy, and hormone production.
The vulva is the external part of the female genital anatomy. It includes all of the structures that can be seen on the outside of the body, including the labia, clitoris, urethral opening, and vaginal opening.
The vagina is a flexible muscular canal that connects the vulva to the cervix. It plays important roles in menstruation, sexual intercourse, childbirth, and maintaining a healthy reproductive environment.
The fallopian tubes are two narrow tubes that connect the ovaries to the uterus and help transport eggs during the reproductive cycle.
The ovaries are two small reproductive organs located on either side of the uterus. Their main functions are to produce eggs and release hormones that regulate the menstrual cycle.
The uterus, sometimes called the womb, is a hollow muscular organ where a pregnancy develops.
